I am 52 years old, married, and employed as a game warden with Colorado Parks and Wildlife. I am originally from Glen Cove, NY and moved to CO in 1997. I have a BS in Wildlife Biology and an MS in Forest Science both from CSU. Outside of triathlon I like to hike, hunt, fish, and spent time with my horses. I got into triathlon five years ago after seeing my wife do a small local sprint in Center, CO. One year later I did my first race and was hooked. I was inspired to get into Ironman racing to honor my mother. She battled Parkinson's Disease and Dementia for five years and I always race with her fighting spirit. I never dreamed I could accomplish anything close to an Ironman but I had to do something in her honor. My first IM was Lake Placid in 2016 and I raised over $9,000 for the Michael J Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research in her honor. I have since done five more IM races.
