  • Describe a little bit about yourself and your interest in triathlon

I signed up for my first tri in 2012 because I didn't think I could do it. I didn't grow up knowing how to properly swim (I knew how to not drown). A running injury got me into the pool in 2011 and I decided triathlon was my next challenge to tackle.

I was doing 4-5 Sprint/Olympic tris each year until my cousin pushed me to 70.3. My first half Ironman was Lake Stevens up in Washington. That was 2015.

Now I race to show my son what's possible. I had him in August 2018 and my first race back was Santa Rosa 70.3 in July 2019.

This season will be my 8th and 9th 70.3s.
