Describe a little bit about yourself and your interest in triathlon
I am always active. I played indoor volleyball for the Navy and competed actively on the beach, grass, courts for about 30 years, In 2005 I did my first marathon and found that intriguing, then got a bike and fell in love with the grind of the training and the sport. I've done 4 full Ironman races, want to do a 5th in a couple years. I have done about 15 half distance races and a few olympic. I love the spirit of the sport, being on your own to get through the day, being the best I can with my effort as I can that day is my 1st goal. Should I make the podium, well thats a bonus. I've gotten as close as 14th I think, but I am still determined.
